Top of mind
- Thanks to those who sent feedback about Issue 34. I may not have responded to everyone, but I always love reader input!
-
The CMS Experts group met in Austin on Thursday, April 9 at the offices of ContentStack. My two big takeaways:
- When it comes to data and analytics, we need to move from a “reporting” mindset to a decisioning mindset (from Guari Chandna).
- APIs were made as a way to connect different software tools, but they were based on human behaviors. AI agents aren’t humans, and they need a different connector. Will Model Context Protocol (MCPs)—or some other protocol) become the new API? (from Andrew Kumar).
- I’ve spent a lot of time in the last year-plus getting deeper into the “Creator Economy”—with some reservations about “hustle culture” and the influencer vibe. Do you know if anyone in this world is talking about managing content for their various outputs, aside from “AI can do it”?
- Who hasn’t heard stories of nightmare CMS implementations? I’ve created a CMS readiness assessment tool to help you avoid such nightmares—and give you recommendations for shoring up any gaps the assessment finds. There’s a shortened free version, and it’s available today at www.collinscontent.com/cms-assessment. Check it out!
